Associate/ Analyst, Operations

Reporting to the Group COO, the candidate will be part of the team taking care of general business management and operational requirements of the business.

Key responsibilities:
Business Management

  • Assist COO with management reporting of business metrics.
  • Coordinate and implement management initiatives, business, and operational processes.
  • Manage the engagement of and business relationships with the company’s partners such as custodian banks, insurance brokers, trustees, etc.
  • Oversee the company’s engagement with vendors/service providers.
  • Assist Wealth Managers with their business requirements, such as general queries and making introductions to various partners.
  • Work closely with the Fund Management teams on operational requirements, including liaising with fund administrators and auditors on ad hoc requests or issues.
  • Coordinate the preparation of marketing materials and documentation as needed.

  • Compliance and Operations

  • Keep up to date with industry regulations, and work with Group COO to assess and implement relevant regulatory requirements and compliance guidelines.
  • Ensure that adequate internal procedures and controls are in place with checks and balances.
  • Perform routine review and recording of client records and trades executed.
  • Liaise with corporate secretary, accountant, tax advisor and auditor for annual compliance requirements and ongoing resolutions and filings.
  • Assist the Group COO with general administrative work and any business requirements from time to time.

  • Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree with 1-3 years of working experience, preferably in fund administration, audit, or operational roles in financial institutions.
  • General knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines in the financial industry, with a basic understanding of business law.
  • Experience in liaising with regulators and auditors is an advantage.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Meticulous, organised, process-driven, and able to multi-task.
