Accounts Assistant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our company. The person must possess hands-on bookkeeping experience and can perform accounting tasks daily. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong ethic and capable of handling multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must have a strong willingness to quickly take ownership of his/her areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Enter data, maintain, and verify that transactions are recorded in the correct suppliers’ ledger, customer’s ledger, and general ledger
  • Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
  • Issue invoices to customers
  • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
  • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
  • Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
  • Maintain the petty cash fund
  • Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Comply with local reporting requirements
  • Provide support to management as requested

  • Requirements
  • Professional Qualification or Diploma in Accounting
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply
  • Preferably 2 years of working experience in bookkeeping, accounting
  • Junior Executive specialized in Finance – General/Cost Accounting or equivalent is preferred
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Preferably knowledge of QuickBooks & Xero accounting software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
